Columbia City weathers storm, beats Carroll

The Lady Eagles built up a 19-point lead through the first three quarters and needed a good deal of it as the Lady Chargers made both defensive and offensive adjustments that held Columbia City without a field goal in the fourth quarter as the hosts cut the lead in half. In the first half, the Lady Chargers chose to double and triple-team Columbia City center Nicole Ott, freeing other Lady Eagles for open looks. In the first quarter freshman Sierria Burlage profited from the strategy scoring six points on 3-of-3 shooting from the field. While the Lady Eagles were shooting 5-of-10 from the field and 4-for-5 from the free throw line, a stingy perimeter defense from Columbia City was forcing the Lady Chargers into nine first quarter turnovers and limiting them to 2-of-9 shooting from the field.

They see Mc Cain, the pro immigration, anti tax cutting, Mc Cain/Feingold. OR..Huckabee, pro immigration, pro tax history, unelectable.

These two are whom the MSM seem to want to run. So they are getting two the left can beat, and even if they don't beat them they will get a flood of immigration, and tax hikes so they win even if they loose. So we cut off Fox because we are pissed.

The person that I feel comes closest to a real conservativeis Fred, 5th place in a race of 6.

I telling you now, it will be a long time in the wilderness again, (thanks Bush, and the over spending congress)+ open borders!

Between business that want open borders, and every politician thinks that they will stay in office because the immigrants will vote for them.

The conservatives will stay home again.

After Harvard, Yale boosts aid

Yale announced this week that it will change its undergraduate financial aid policy for all students this fall. The changes are meant to make college more affordable for middle and upper-income families and follow in the footsteps of a similar policy enacted by Harvard last December.

"We want all of our students to make the most of Yale — academically and beyond — without worrying about excessive work hours or debt," Yale president Richard Levin said in a press release. "Our new financial aid package makes this aspiration a reality."

At both Yale and Harvard, parents with annual incomes below $60,000 a year will not have to contribute toward their child's college education, and families with incomes from $60,000 to $120,000 will now pay between 1 and 10 percent of their incomes toward tuition.

So he wants to be back according to the constitution...the very consitution that he refused to honour and follow...man this really getting funny now...qarase should retire while he has 50cents worth of mana left.

Shailendra Kumar of New Zealand (59 days and 10 hours ago) What a plonker! After all the illegal activities of the IG and thier followers Qarase must be mad to even think about this. He should retire and now and go home.

Mircha of Vanua Mamaca (59 days and 10 hours ago) Avinesh just dont hide and stab people from the back.People of your thinking are supporters of FLP.That day will come when all those who had supported the current regime will find themselves in refugee camps looked after by the UN and you will be in there. It time that VB starts talking because Mr.Qarase commands majority fijian support which makes up the greater population of fiji.He has the peoples power not the power of the gun that makes you talk. You must be from the losers party that took advantage of the current situation. The people of fiji are carefully watching every move so dont think that we are blind.

Hoeven has little to show for two terms

I am far from being a political expert but I do know how the political system effects me and my families way of life and I do see my property taxes going up each and every year and yet I don't see the benefits from the increased taxes. The easy answer by our local and State governments seems to raising taxes. I see nothing being done for tax relief. " .

Heritage destruction could be stumbling block for Turkey

Disagreement over the agenda for such talks has delayed their start. Turkish Cypriots want discussion of only day-to-day "practical" issues - such as health, environment, crime prevention and illegal immigration.

Greek Cypriots fear limiting the scope of technical level talks to such issues only, would tend to cement the present division and merely improve "good neighbourly" relations, instead of leading to reunification.

UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and President Papadopoulos expressed the hope at their Paris meeting on February 28 that such discussions would help restore trust between the two communities as well as pave the way for the earliest full resumption of the stalled negotiating process.

On the basis of the Paris agreement the Greek Cypriots want such discussions to cover disengagement of forces, demilitarisation, economic integration and the issue of Famagusta.
